Dinith Saram is a Manager at the IPSASB, having joined in 2026. He contributes to the development of high-quality public sector accounting standards and provides technical support across the IPSASB’s work program and strategic initiatives.
Prior to joining the IPSASB, Dinith worked at KPMG Canada, where he began his career in the Financial Institutions Audit practice. In this capacity, he worked on the audits of several of Canada’s largest banking institutions, gaining extensive experience in complex financial reporting environments. He subsequently transitioned to KPMG’s Accounting Advisory Services (AAS) practice, where he advised clients across a diverse range of industries on technical accounting matters. His areas of expertise include hedge accounting, expected credit loss methodologies, and the application and transition to new accounting standards and frameworks. During this time, he also advised Canadian public sector organizations on accounting issues under the Canadian Public Sector Accounting Standards.
Dinith is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) in Canada. He holds a Bachelor of Accounting and Financial Management and a Master of Accounting from the University of Waterloo (Waterloo, Canada).
