Dr. Neema Kiure Mssusa joined the IFAC Nominating Committee in January 2024 after serving at the International Public Sector Accounting Standards Board (IPSASB) for six years (from 2018 to 2023) and at the IPSASB Consultative Advisory Group for two years (from 2016 to 2017).

Dr. Kiure Mssusa, a GRI Certified Sustainability Professional, has been the team leader in the International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) implementation project for the Government of Tanzania from 2008 to 2022. She has assisted the Tanzania Ministries, Departments and Agencies, Local Government Authorities, and other Public Sector Entities on IPSAS implementation projects. Tanzania started complying with accrual based IPSAS during the year ended 30 June 2013. As a member of the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA) Technical Committee since 2008 she has been working closely with NBAA to ensure that the accountancy profession in Tanzania is compliant with applicable international and local standards accordingly.

She is an Assurance Partner at Ernst & Young Tanzania, where she serves several private and public sector entities. Dr. Kiure Mssusa was a Board Member of the NBAA from October 2014 to May 2021 and the Vice Chairperson of the same from June 2018 to May 2021. She is the current Chairperson of the Tanzania Association of Women Accountants (TAWCA) and a member of the Interim Academic Advisory Committee (IAAC) of the African Professionalization Initiative (API).
